美国大学理事会在2016年3月正式对SAT考试进行调整实施。将总分从2400分调整到1600分，包括阅读800分和数学800分，考试时间为3个小时。而来自ACT考试的官方消息称，2015年开始施行的改革方案中包括评分标准、职业生涯准备指数和改进的写作考试。赴美艺术生留学考试免不了与SAT、ACT、AP打交道，这三大考试究竟有什么区别？学生应该参加哪个考试呢？今天美行思远资深顾问张老师便向大家讲解一下这些考试的共性与区别。

由于AP考试为大学预修课程考试，不能直接申请大学，故不对其做对比。下面来看看SAT、ACT二者到底有什么区别：

1.考查题型不同

ACT考试包含了英语、数学、阅读、科学以及写作，SAT考试内容只有英语、数学和写作。

ACT的写作是选考科目，如果选考，考试时间将会自动延长。如果不选考，写作差的同学就可以逃过因写作而拉分的情况。

SAT的写作考试是必考科目，考高考低对成绩都会有很大的影响。

2.考查侧重点不同

ACT考试是一门学科考试，考察的是学生对高中知识的掌握能力。

SAT考试考察的却是学生的学术发展能力和思维拓展能力。

3.计分方式不同

ACT考试和SAT考试的很不同。对正确的答案，ACT和SAT都加分；对错误的答案，SAT倒扣分，而ACT保持分数不变；放弃做题，ACT和SAT都不扣分。

在总分上，ACT和SAT也不同。ACT考试5个部分（含写作）将分别计分，最低分1分，最高分36分，总成绩将取5部分的平均分。

而SAT3个部分将分别计分，最低分200分，最高分800分，总成绩将取3部分的总和。

4.考试次数和报考资格不同

ACT一年只有6次考试机会，中国高中生需要在高二会考结束后，进行为期9个月的全日制预科课程的学习才能够获得报考资格。

SAT相比ACT，考试次数多1次，一共是7次，中国高中生报考SAT并没有ACT那么麻烦，不需要参加预科课程的学习，只要进入高一之后，就可以获得报考资格。

　English Proficiency RequirementsLESS All Mason students must have a full command of academic English to be successful in their studies. For this reason, Mason requires applicants to demonstrate English proficiency for admission consideration.

什么是SAT？

SAT，全称Scholastic Assessment Test，中文名称为学术能力评估测试。由美国大学委员会（College Board）主办，SAT在申请美国大部分大学时都是必须提供的，同时也是申请奖学金的重要参考。所以你不考不行，考低了也不行，这也就诞生了许多“追SAT的人”

SAT的重要性

SAT主要是考察学生们在大学阶段所必需的阅读和写作能力，SAT会测验学生们将在学校学到的知识付诸实践运用分析、解决问题的能力，而这些知识在大学是至关重要的。在美国，学生一般会在10、11或12年级参加SAT考试。此外，SAT成绩和平均成绩点数(GPA:Grade Point Average)结合起来，可以更好地让大学招生委员会了解一个学生的水平。

除了SAT，还有一个SAT2。那么什么是SAT2？SAT 2也叫科目测试（Subject Test）是为学生提供了一个展现自己在某科目方面特长的平台。在美国大学申请中，有些大学对SAT 2（即科目测验）做硬性要求，而有些大学则没有规定。

SAT到底考什么？

SAT考试总时长3小时50分钟（230分钟），共有阅读（Reading）、文法（Writing and Language）和数学（Math）三个必考科目和一个作文（Essay）选考科目，总共1600分：

SAT由ETS承担其命题及阅卷工作，其成绩有效期为2年。所以如果你想提前考SAT，要注意你申请提交时的有效期哦！

SAT2的考试内容更像我们高中的一门门课的期末考试，目前可选择的科目有以下二十门：

U.S. History （美国历史）

World History （世界历史）

Mathematics Level 1（数学1）

Mathematics Level 2（数学2）

Biology （生物）

Chemistry （化学）

Physics （物理[1]）

Chinese With Listening （中文，有听力）

注意事项

目前，中国大陆没有考点！如果你想考SAT，只能跑去香港、澳门、台湾、新加坡、韩国、日本等地，而每年三月的考试仅在美国举行。同一考生不能在一次考试中SAT 1、2都报。每一个考试日，一个考生可报考1?3个科目的SAT 2考试。

中国留学生想参加2018年的SAT考试，最快你也要等到3月（考场在美国）：
