SAT语法部分是SAT考试中相对容易的部分，然而对于复杂语法规则的理解仍然是一些考生的薄弱环节。这里面的“复杂”，并不是指知识点难度有多深，或者语法成分多么复杂，而是涉及写作规范与风格的部分。其中，以下四个问题尤为突出：

代词指代不明

一些刚刚接触SAT的学生往往对语法中“代词指代不明”缺乏比较敏锐的嗅觉，例如在“山姆告诉乔他应该去那个商店”这句话中，同一性别的两个人出现在同一个句子里，导致代词所指模糊。但通过训练，学生可以从一些测试语法规则的题目提示语中迅速找到答案。

句子或段落的逻辑关系混淆

如“Covered in hot melted cheese, we ate the pizza”这句话想要表达的含义是披萨饼被芝士覆盖着。但如果学生从逻辑角度思考这句话，按照现有的句子结构来看，修饰词“covered in hot melted cheese”修饰的是主语”we”而不是宾语”pizza”。

介词的使用

英语作为一门较为复杂的语言，和介词搭配的动词或形容词会根据不同的情景而变化。应对这类问题最简单的做法是，记住常用的动词介词搭配。学生若想高效地提高语法部分的成绩，还需要及早进行总结。

句子结构

中式英语教育对学生的英文写作产生了很大的负面影响。学生往往被误导，认为高质量的文章就是要有很多复杂的长句。老师鼓励学生多写华丽冗长的句子，一个句子通常包含许多从句。事实上，学术性英文写作的要求并不是这样。SAT语法考试中便经常会出现要求考生简化句子的题目。

此外，句式复杂化还影响了学生的写作能力，也间接影响了他们的对句子和段落的理解力。避免此类问题最直接的方法是——句子越简单越好。中国学生往往很难开这个头，因为这完全颠覆了他们之前所学的写作规则。但是，如果中国学生想取得一个令人满意的写作成绩，简化句子结构的做法将会为他们带来实质性的飞跃。

2、几个SAT语法问题

Children是复数，怎么可以对上an independence？

2. The oldest dated jigsaw puzzle, (which was engraved) in 1767, is a hand-colored map of the counties in England and Wales.

B. being engraved

答案为A

括号部分being engraved为什么错？

3. Societies acting through their governments make the rules (to state) which acts are illegal, but although war is the most violent of human activities, it has not been declared illegal by any of the world’s governments or their agencies.

A. to state

B. stating

答案为B

括号部分为什么是stating？to state表societies的目的不行吗？

4. Jean Toomer was not only the author of Cane, a novel whose publication has been viewed (as making) the beginning of the Harlem Renaissance, but also a respected advisor among Quakers.

括号部分为什么没错？be viewed as sth，不应该是has been viewed as the mark of 吗？

5. Pual Ecke, flower grower and hybridizer, became known as “Mr. Poinsettia” after developing new varieties of the flower and (by pioneering) it as a living symbol of Christmas.

如果after developing和by pioneering并列的话，为什么解释说by多余了？这算是绝对错误吗？

6. The fruit fly is often used to study genetic _____ scientists can observe the effects of experiments on several generations.

3、SAT语法题当中的问题

答案中有2个选项中纠缠。。而且经常考这两个然后我总是不知道怎么选。

一个是complementing 一个是which complement 应该选第一个。那么第一个为什么不算指的不清楚呢因为有可能是dwellings complementing 也有可能是natural setting complementing啊。。 就经常出现这两个选项的题我总是会错。。

4、鄙人做SAT题中语法部分出现一些问题，求英语牛人相助啊！！！

应改为he saw。但是不明白原句为什么不对，before即可为adv,又可为prep,还可为conj.，为什么这里要用conj而不是prep呢？

2、Determined to make a name for herself as a writer of short stories, Helen never submits anything to an editor until （revising） it several times.（09050625）

应改为Helen has revised。问题和1、类似，until 可为conj和prep，怎么区别呢？？？

3、(Opposite to) most people I know, Annie, a good photographer herself, actually enjoys seeing the photographs that her friends take on their vacations.（06050626）

应改为Opposite with,但是两者有何区别呢？

4、Chess players find that playing against a computer is helpful (to improve) their skills, even though no chess-playing computer has yet won a championship.（OC010720）

应改为of improving。 还是不知道区别。

5、Annual visitors to New York City's Central Park number almost ten times (that of) Mount Rushmore.(07100526)

应改为those to。这道题题意不是很明白，帮忙分析下。麻烦了。
